![]() ![]() one 'assessor' even told me the mfg'er was 'Eibar'īTW, the winchester pre-64 model 70. while getting an assessment for the rifle, i've been taking this shotgun along and i'm getting nowhere with it. ![]() This all came about because a cousin of mine wanted to buy a rifle from me, and i had to get an assessment for that. I'm wondering what something like this would go for, just rough guess, market value.i'm just wondering what i have, is all. The gun is not for sale and i know that it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it the paperwork says it's a model DH (one i can't find in the good book (blue book) i have), and it's a 12 guage. He always kinda made a big deal about the Miller trigger and i'm not sure why. I do have the original trigger still though. I also know that he had a 'Miller' trigger put into it. I know he had it shipped to him in 1967, though i'm not sure when it was built. I know it's a Victor Sarasqueta, made in Eibar Spain. Neither should be compared to VS.I was hoping to get some information on one of my dad's shotguns. They went out of business in 1986, sold the name to DiArms.įelix Sarasqueta made the cheapest, and JJ Sarasqueta a fairly wide range but not quite up to VS quality. ![]() Victor Sarasqueta made the best quality guns, very reliable and considered by some to be the best Spanish shotguns. The top grades like the 12E cost roughly 3 times as much, depending on condition of course, and will have very fancy wood and elaborate engraving. The 6E is a somewhat higher grade than the 203E. I'm not sure what the EXP means except the importer may have thought that E stood for Express. ![]() On VS shotguns a plain model number indicate extractors, a number with an E, like 203E, indicates auto ejectors. If you aren't shooting thousands of shells then a light weight is OK. I'm not sure what the weight ranges are and it does vary with length but 1600 grams is heavy and 1200 pretty light for a 12 ga. The Spanish made shotguns in several weights depending on the type of shooting, heavy for trap, to light for upland rough shooting. The grm, gmos or grams is the barrel weight. (I bought a 5 pin sidelock because it uses coil, not leaf springs and is much more easily repaired) They look like 7 pin sidelocks, considered the "best" action. ![]()
